My name is Rose. I am a senior student in computer science. I came from Taiwan and I am going to stay here for one semester. This is my first time the visit the US and also the first time to live that far from my parents. I am kind of nervous now that I am not sure if I can get used to the life here. I will be as sociable as possible but I may still be too shy and kind of afraid of people sometimes. Anyways, I am glad to have the opportunity to get involved in this activity. Looking forward to create some lovely memories with you guys.

My name is Janet Cheng. I am a Mechanical Engineering student from Hong Kong. I like hanging out with friends in my free time. I like shopping, watching movies etc. I enjoy spending time with my friends. Although my English is not quite good, I am willing to communicate with others. Hi I'm Helen and I study international business and finance at the University of Hong Kong. I grew up in Thailand and attended an international school in Bangkok. I enjoy running and plan to participate in the Illinois marathon. I look forward to meeting other members of Globe.

My name is Ray. I am a sophomore in industrial design from Beijing, China. I enjoy many kinds of sports, especially basketball. I enjoy hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I am a violin 1 player in the Illini Strings, a university orchestra and a beater on the Illini Ridgebacks Quidditch team. I wish to enjoy our time together to the best extent.

Hello, I'm Bisher. My name means "good news" in Arabic; I speak Arabic fluently as well. I like to think I'm fun and entertaining to be around, extroverted and occasionally audacious; I have no comfort zone. I'm a senior studying political science. I enjoy learning about others and participating in bonding experiences, whether we are familiar or unfamiliar. I enjoy novel experiences, and spending time with people who love novel experiences. Also my english skills are extraordinary, so if you need help with application materials or essays, I'm your guy. I'm looking forward to being apart of GLOBE and meeting you!

My name is Arin. I am an undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering from Turkey. I am currently in the second semester of my sophomore year. I play the guitar, cook, go to a movie or go out with my friends in my free time. I've been involved in several RSOs on campus, most of which were about community service. I'm also interested in photography but I never properly learned it. I consider myself an open-minded and sociable person. I like new and different experiences. That's also the reason I like learning about different cultures.
