Since coming to the US, I have met people from different cultures and I have really enjoyed it and I am excited to be a blue member and talk to people from all other the world. On campus, I am also involved in Phi Beta Lambda which is a business professional organization where I met diverse groups of people as well.

My name is Phoebe. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I'm an undergraduate student majoring in Spanish and Psychology. I am starting my senior year this fall and then plan on attending graduate school for Occupational Therapy. In my free time I like hanging out with friends, doing yoga, playing volleyball, and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants. Some of my favorite spots in Champaign are Espresso Royale and the Arboretum. I consider myself an open-minded, compassionate, and friendly person. My name is Chaitanya Gulati (which essentially means awareness) and for all those who find to pronounce it, can just call me by my surname, Gulati. I am Systems Engineering and Design major freshman and I am planning to try for the ILEE dual degree. I am from North India and have spent the last six years in an all-boys boarding school. As a quintessential knowledge seeker, I spent hours reading 'WHYWHYWHY', wondering how the gear-system of my cycle worked and why my T.V understood what I pressed on the remote. Gradually, knowledge birthed my innovative ideas. For instance, the idea for a machine that produces breathable-oxygen underwater was sown while studying electrolysis in grade 8 Chemistry. Innovation drives my affinity for Engineering. An aspiring entrepreneur, I plan to invent 'The Next Big-Thing' and yearn for UIUC's help to achieve this. I also enjoy working out in the gym and playing cricket. I am also very religious and know a lot about the Hindu Mythology.
