My name is Renato. I am Portuguese/Brazilian, born in Sao Paulo. I am a fifth year Ph.D. Student in Educational Psychology. One of my favorite places on campus is the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. I have a really broad range of tastes. I do enjoy learning about different cultures, traveling, talking, playing games, practicing sports, watching movies, cooking, eating, drinking coffee and tea, listening to music, among others. I really hope to be part of an active group. Our university has so much to offer, that I feel we should take full advantage of our healthy years of life!!

I am Chandal, a Taiwanese graduate student in Nutritional Sciences. Before I came to the U.S., I stayed in the Netherlands for 2 years. I am a travelholic. My best travel experience is in 2014 when I was a backpacker and traveling around Europe. And now my next destination is South America! I also love dancing and music. I used to do belly dance and now I am learning ukulele!

I enjoy deep discussions with new people over coffee or drinks, although I'm an omnivert person. One of my major purposes to take up this exchange course is to be able to interact with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

My name is Nuraini, Aini for short. I'm a master's student in Computer Science and am currently in my second semester. I did my bachelor's in UIUC as well, so I have been here for more than 4 years. I enjoy reading and playing board games in my spare time. I also like to travel and have in fact been to more than 25 states in the US. I look forward to learning about different cultures and sharing my own cultures with others.

My name is Peifan Zhang. I'm a master student majoring in Accounting. I started my life in Champaign from summer 2018 and I love it! I the enjoy peaceful and wonderful Champaign style here. I like dining with friends and exploring good restaurants at the same time in Champaign and Urbana. I started to love Mexican food since I got here. I consider myself an active person because I love all kinds of sports, such as swimming, ice-skating, badminton and etc. I love Champaign also because it's such a diverse place that I can learn new things from people around me almost every day. I hope to make new friends here and we can together accomplish something we couldn't have done by ourselves. It's always great to be in a big warm family to have a sense of belonging.
