My name is Aaksa Nair. I am a freshman in Bioengineering. I am of Indian descent but was born and raised in Dubai. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and exchanging experiences with people of various backgrounds. I consider myself adventurous and I love doing things spontaneously. I enjoy trying new cuisines and attempting to learn to make interesting dishes, but I'm not yet a very good chef but it's fun to try. I love films and enjoy discussing them with peers.

My name is Ludmila. I am a undergraduate student in Biosystems Engineering at University of São Paulo from Brasil. I like going out and cooking with my friends in my free time. Besides this I love reading and watching movies. One of my favorite books is "The Book Thief". I consider myself a communicative and enthusiastic person. I appreciate meeting different people and learning from others. I have participated in several groups in my university in Brazil as a researcher and volunteer. I'm very excited to meet you. I am sure that these moments will be extremely important to all of us.

My name is Shih Jie Chang, or you can call me Kenny, I am an exchange student from Taiwan, majoring in electrical and computer engineering. I like music, especially when it comes to classical music. Actually, I have learned saxophone for years. Besides, I enjoy reading novels. My preferred type of novel includes Japanese light novel and Chinese internet novels and I like to introduce them to people who are interested in this. I love trying new things to broaden my horizons, and that's why I attend this program. I look forward to interacting with people all over the world, understanding their culture and making friends with them.

Hello everyone. My name is Yuxuan Zhang, but I usually go by Mac. I am currently a junior majoring in Accounting and minoring in Econometrics. I am from Shenzhen, China but have lived and studied in the US for almost 7 years. My hobbies include eating and drinking with friends as well as having conversations with others from different backgrounds. This is my fourth semester being involved with GLOBE and my experiences have been different but fulfilling each and every time. I hope to meet and get to know all of you this semester.

My name is Baylor Eaton and I am an undergrad student majoring in Global Studies and Political Science. I also have been studying Spanish and can understand the language and speak it as needed. I am from Virginia near Washington D.C. I am involved in FBI Club, Epsilon Eta (environmental fraternity), and Alpha Epsilon Phi (social sorority). In high school and now seasonally I worked in Target in my home town, but since coming to campus I began working for Safe walks. In my spare time I also volunteer for a hospice center by visiting the elderly.

My name is Gwanhee Lee. I am undergraduate student majoring in Industrial and Management Engineering in POSTECH(Pohang University of Science and Technology), and I started my fourth year as an undergraduate(In my home country, South Korea, the academic year starts with Spring semester. Therefore, this semester is my seventh semester). My hobby is to watch sports, especially soccer league such as English Premier League. I even made a group to watch soccer together with my friends when I was sophomore. I think I am friendly, open-minded person, so I am ready to learn new culture through this program. Thank you!

My name is Sheila. I'm majoring in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong. It is my last semester of my undergraduate study. Currently I'm worried about whether I can manage to finish my final year project and graduate. Besides, I cannot live without spicy food, especially of Sichuan taste. I like to go for the home-flavored food with my friends in my leisure time. I would like to experience new things with new friends in this new environment, that will make me feel a sense of belongingness. I'm looking forward to joining in activities with all of you.
