I also love to stay indoor in my apartment and invite my friends to cook Chinese dishes with me. I usually go to ARC once or twice a week. I am a warm-hearted, creative and joyful person. My name is Mateus. I am an undergraduate student in food engineering from Brazil in South America. I am in my third year of graduation. I like to go to the gym and hanging out to know a new place in my free time. My favorite hangouts are the gym and Library. I really enjoy reading books about nutrition and food science in my free time. I consider myself a disciplined person, a bit quiet sometimes, but also sociable. I enjoy learning from others' mistakes and helping as possible. I believe we will spend a great time together.

My name is Roy and I am a Master of Engineering (Civil with Business) student at the University of Melbourne, Australia. I love being an exchange student because I can experience new things and new culture. I previously went to South Korea on exchange and I really enjoyed the time there. I enjoy making new friends, playing sports and study together with mates. I hope that I can expand my connections and make as many friends as I can by participating in this program, and really make some good memories at UIUC.

Hola! Hello everyone! My name is Xochitl Esparza a senior in the School of Social Work. I am a game board and card game fanatic and am always ready to play Exploding Kittens. I love to attend cultural events, festivals, karaoke, movie nights, sports events and so much more on campus. I am a research ambassador on campus and help students become involved in research. Asides, from that I volunteer my time at La Linea which is a help line number to provide counseling and services to the Champaign-Urbana immigrant community. I am so excited to be a part of GLOBE and help you make fun and amazing memories in your study abroad experience. I can't wait to learn about you and your culture and would be more than happy to share my Mexican culture with you all.
