My name is Alejandra and I am from Bolivia. I am a Bioengineering PhD student starting my first year this fall 2018. In my free time I like to read and play with my dog Mushu. I am a very shy person but like to learn about other cultures because I think that understanding is the key to building a better world. I am an advocate of increasing diversity in higher education because I think that sharing time with people with varied ways of thinking allows to find answers and fix problems much faster.

Hi, my name is Pio. I've just started my Master's in Urban Planning degree this fall. I'm from Lebanon, so I speak Arabic and French as well. I come from an architecture and political science background, I do a lot photography, Model UN, and design in my free time; and I enjoy having different cuisines from around the world. I love going to Church, for spiritual and community purposes of course but also for their architecture. And, yeah I'm really into traveling, meeting new people, experiencing their cultures, and getting to know them more. So, looking forward to meeting you!

I am Akshay Pandit but friends call me AP. I am a master's student in Environmental Engineering India. I will be starting my master's this fall. I really sincere and passionate about my work. During my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends. Also, I love to learn new things, like a new language or an instrument. I love to know about meet new people and explore new cultures. I hope that through GLOBE I will gain a truly international experience.

My name is Yue. I am a master's student in Economics from China. I am starting my second year this fall 2018. In my spare time, I like reading, watching movies and hanging out with friends. Detective novel is my favorite, but my interests are not limited to it. I am also a big fan of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing and jogging. Travel is another thing I am into and I have visited many places and experienced the magic of different cultures. I hope we can have a good time in GLOBE this semester!
