My name is Hongjin Lyu. I'm a senior student who major in economics and was transferred from China to here last fall 2018. In my free time, I would like to hang out with friends or enjoy my personal time at home. Personally, I would consider myself as a cooperative, rational and open-minded person. For me, making new friends will always be a great thing. So, it will be nice to share and lean experience with new people in this group. I'm looking forward to enjoy every meeting we will have in the future.

My name is Yvonne. I am an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering from China. I come to uiuc this spring semester for my exchange from my home university, the University of Melbourne, in Australia. I enjoy watching movies, going to concerts and museums during my free time. If possible, I'd like to play the piano or sing karaoke with friends. I am a big coffee lover. Considering my asian background I love Pad Thai, Yum Cha and have to have them every once in a while. I consider myself as a funny(prob from watching sitcoms and stand up comedy haha), friendly but sometimes could be a bit nerdy person. Hope to know about you and wish we will have a great time.

Hello! My name is Layla, and I'm from Saudi Arabia. I'm an undergraduate freshman in Materials Science and Engineering. I like to draw and paint, and I'm interested in Arabic calligraphy and Arabic poetry. Other than that, I enjoy reading. Also, I waste half my life on YouTube and Pinterest.
I intend to put myself out of my comfort zone, try new things, and meet different people.
I'm looking forward to get to know everyone and to have a fun semester :)

Hi! My name is Isabel, and I'm originally from Spain. I'm here as an ECE exchange student, and this will be my second semester in both globe and uiuc. I enjoy hanging out and being active, and look forward to experience everything uiuc has to offer! I also love traveling and plan to fit in a few trips this semester. I look forward to meeting all of you!

My name is Kevin, and I am a senior majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends, binge watching Friends and HIMYM on Netflix, eating out at new places on campus, and drinking bubble tea. I also enjoy working out to burn those excess calories from bubble tea. A fun fact about me is that I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I am a friendly person, but can be shy and quiet sometimes. I hope to be able to build long-lasting friendships and have a great time with you all.

 Hi my name is Shaan. I am an exchange student from the University of Melbourne for this semester. In my 2nd year studying a Bachelor of Science currently and have chosen exchange to know what its like to live abroad and independent. I like my music in particular (rap/hip hop) and would be keen to go to concerts nearby. Looking to get into some US sports (different to Australian ones). Being a friendly person, I look to have fun and meet new people on this program.

My name is Paul Teodoro, and I'm a senior studying Kinesiology. I like to write, eat anything, hibernating, and watching shows on Netflix. When my roommates drag me out, I like going to the gym to work out or play basketball. Meeting new people, while grabbing coffee is always fun. Hope to make a lot of great memories with you all.
